  • For our first stop we visit a small family owned estate at Mitres Edge Vineyards. Winemaker Lola Nicholls was one of the very first lady winemakers in SA and she helped to lay the foundations for those to come. The tasting takes place in her manor house or charming underground cellar and is one that represents hand harvested red wine terroir at its finest. These wines are paired with a selection of local and delicious cheeses to make for a memorable experience to start your day. PS. There are also 6 awesome doggos at this vineyard!

  • As the most patriotic of South Africans the next destination is one we're extremely proud of. Klein Goederust re-opened in late 2021 as the first and only 100% black owned winery in the Franschhoek region. After generations of minority monopolisation in the region this 120 year old farm has been transformed into an agent for change in the South African wine arena. Owner and winemaker, both sons of former farm labourers grew up side by side in apartheid South Africa and now have their own peace of vineyard paradise. You'll be treated to 4-5 wines of exceptional quality and more importantly, wines of progress.

  • Wine is not the only thing the region has to brag about. Some of the Cape’s most loved foodie destinations appear along the way. We stop for lunch at one the oldest estates in the region, Boschendal. The Deli Restaurant is set under 300 year old oak trees and offers up a seasonal menu that caters for all dietary requirements. All ingredients are sourced directly from the farm making it the most fresh and nutritious meal of your day. Expect to spend $10-15 for a main meal.

  • Oldenburg Mountain Vineyards and its breath-taking views set the tone for an unforgettable final experience – with the focus on letting their guests understand the sense of place and connect truly with the wines. Heritage, careful planning, and a large amount of good fortune has allowed them to be custodians of a small corner of Stellenbosch, tucked away in the mountains in an area known as the Banghoek Valley. Our hosts believe this could be the most beautiful wine destination in the Southern Hemisphere. See it for yourself
