Tastings are hosted in their unpretentious yet spectacular Cape Dutch–style home, and guests are personally taken on a cellar tour by a member of the family.   • Creation Wines is one of South Africa’s most celebrated estates, recently ranked 3rd in the world on the 2025 list of the World’s Top Wineries. Beyond their acclaimed wines, Creation has built a reputation for offering an exceptional culinary experience that seamlessly blends food and wine. Guests are invited to enjoy multi-course menus thoughtfully paired with the estate’s wines, where each dish highlights seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and enhances the character of the wine in the glass.

    The setting is both stylish and welcoming, with panoramic views over the vineyards and surrounding fynbos that add to the sense of place.

  • Ataraxia Wines, founded by renowned winemaker Kevin Grant, a member of the prestigious Cape Winemakers Guild, is celebrated for its elegance and attention to detail. The tasting experience takes place in a striking, chapel-like building that reflects the estate’s sense of calm and refinement. True to its name, which means “a serene state of mind, free from worry,” Ataraxia embodies balance and tranquillity in both place and wine.

  • The sunset cruise is a two-hour sail along the Walker Bay coastline, offering a relaxing way to take in Hermanus’s scenery. Onboard, the crew shares insights into local history and marine life, with regular sightings of Cape fur seals, penguins, and occasionally dolphins, Bryde’s whales, or Southern Right whales (seasonal and weather dependent). This is not a whale-watching tour, but rather a chance to enjoy drinks, tapas, and unobstructed views of the sun setting over the horizon.
