Jonkershoek Nature Reserve is a breathtaking protected area located in Stellenbosch, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Trail sutiability ranges from beiginners who are looking for an easy 45 min morning stroll to full day technical routes right to the top of the valley. Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve offers panoramic views of the Franschhoek Valley and is home to diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, picnicking spots and even snow in the winter. A daring creative at heart, Lily has experimented with anything from beetroot to spices in the search for the perfect piece. She discovered her ultimate talent in the medium of red wine. In her words: “Painting with wine allows me to create from that experimental playfulness that I had as a little girl. Wine is layered in symbolism. It is ever-changing from the moment it touches the paper and comes to life. Using it as a paint medium is unpredictable and that’s what makes it attractive”.
