  • Our tour starts with a visit to the East City and our friends at Origin Coffee Roasters. Ever heard of Cupping? This is the practice of observing the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee. Origins Head Roasters create an exceptional experience for each Cupping Session from the coffees tasted to the session’s focus each action and cupping is a unique experience. Taste their current range of coffees sourced from all around the globe, learn to taste coffee like the professionals and explore and understand different origins and characteristics of coffee. This sets the tone for the day as coffee does.

  • We then make our way into one of the most important and culturally rich parts of the City; Bo-Kaap. Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, the streets are lined by colorful houses and the scents of home cooking wonders! We link up with Faeeza Abrahams at her very own Faeeza’s Home Kitchen to taste some local treats known as Koesisters (spicy donut), Samoosas and her much loved Babotie among other appetizers served with our famous, patented Rooibos Tea. Faeeza has proudly hosted Prince Harry and Megan Markle and Rodger Federer, they approved and we do too! This is intimate, home cooking with a cultural educational of the area.

  • Synonymous with Cape Town is an all encompassing French loaf sandwich known as a Gatsby. Not for the faint-hearted this sizable offering was born thanks to Super Fisheries owner Rasheed Pandy. Various parts of the city now celebrate this most loved combo of a selected meat, chips and achar topped off with a locally made chili sauce or you can choose one of your choice. One sandwich is enough to share between 2-3 people!

  • Our next stop takes us to meet a local gem of a chef at the Seven Colours Eatery. An Eastern Cape native, Nolu is passionate about (and committed to) celebrating the rich diversity of traditional South African food which, she believes, is often overlooked in contemporary dining. In Xhosa culture, the term “seven colours” refers to a balanced plate of nutrient-rich, strikingly hued food and by bringing this hearty soul food to the Waterfront, Nolu is serving a piece of home to our guests.

  • Honest Chocolate in the middle of the city is where we’ll end our culinary adventure. This charming courtyard café has a serious but simple approach to crafting hand-made goodness using only two simple ingredients that go into making Honest Chocolate: Organic Tanzanian Cacao and a Sweetener. Depending on the slab, this will either be Unrefined Cane Sugar or Coconut Blossom Sugar. A brownie and a few unique truffle combinations is what we’ll end with.
