THE ICONIC TABLE MOUNTAIN

The Table Mountain National Park can be experienced in many ways. There are more than 20 popular half-day and full-day hikes of various difficulty levels. If hiking is not your thing the world-famous Table Mountain Cableway is an exciting 5 minute journey to the top at 1084m above sea-level offering incredible 360° from the top. Can you really say you’ve been here without doing this?

Hiking up and taking the cableway down is an option. You can also take the cableway up and down. There are a number of flat and easy trails at the top.

It can be difficult to comprehend just how beautiful the Cape Peninsula really is. You don’t have to venture too from the city centre to experience some of the best wines the Cape has to offer. Constantia, located just 20 minutes from the city, is the oldest wine-producing region in the Southern Hemisphere, known for its elegant, historic estates and rolling vineyards at the base of southern peaks of Table Mountain National Park. The famous Stellenbosch and Franschhoek region is just 45-60 minutes away.

Both regions make for the perfect day trip using Cape Town as your base.
